A Bag of Marbles

A Bag of Marbles

This heartwarming adaptation of French author Joseph Joffo’s enduring memoir of the same name tells the story of two Jewish boys struggling to survive on their own. At 10 and 12, brothers Roman and Joseph know that their best chance to escape the Nazi roundup is to flee on their own from Paris to Vichy France. Always one false move from tragedy, the boys survive on courage, ingenuity and a bit of cunning. More than anything, it’s their brotherly bond that gets them through their ordeals.

Appropriate for ages 12 and up.
